About this book

The contradictory scenario of Africa is one of the saddest scenarios in human history. Africa is the richest continent, in terms of natural resources, but to the contrary, she is home to the poorest population in the world. The question is; why? Why has Africa failed to develop in spite of the abundance of natural resources she possesses? I would even go further and ask why Black people are always at the bottom of the economic ladder wherever they are! Even though many reasons for the underdevelopment of Africa have been given, Dr. Joseph Kansema points out that Africa’s problems are not primarily economic, social and political, but human. What we see on the continent is a reflection of who the African people have become and consequently what they do. As such, Africa will never develop until the unproductive habits and behavioural patterns of the people of the continent are changed. Simply put, it will take the transformation of people to transform the continent. Financial investments alone will not suffice. That is what this book is all about; how to transform the African people who in turn would transform the economic, political and social landscape of the continent.
